Working Group Hyperini
Aim of
the working group is the updating of the knowledge of
palearctic
Hyperini. The last large revision of this group was
done by
Petri (1901). At present however the lack of specimens of
rarer
species makes clarifying taxonomic problems more difficult .
Therefore
systematics of the entire subfamily Hyperini needs a fundamental revision.
Biological
data (hostplant- and habitat-relationship) are to be more
strongly
considered and investigated.
At
present a catalog of types and a check list of the Hyperini are
created.
All colleagues are asked therefore for assistance.
Long-term
target is the creation of an analytic catalog for the
palearctic
Hyperini in the context of the
publications
of the CURCULIO-Institute (SNUDEBILLER).
