Study Group Bagous
Since October 2001, there is a new study group
in the CURCI: The Study Group Bagous. Aims of the Study Group Bagous are:
o
Collecting
faunistical data on the distribution of the middle European Bagous species.
o
The interaction
of the species with their host-plants and their biotopes and also their ability
to fly are important parts of the investigations.
o
The adult
weevils, their host-plants, characteristical feeding-notches and habitats will
be documentated by photos. The larval stages also will be taken into account,
at least in some species.
All
interested friends of weevils are kindly invited to cooperate. It is planned to
publish the data on the SNUDEBILLER-CD Rom some years later.
