Long-term safekeeping of data has top priority!
The SNUDEBILLER CD will be issued at the end of each year and delivered to subscribers and members, as well as libraries and archives. Together with the last version of the interactive Bookreader program the SNUDEBILLER edition contains all WEEVIL NEWS and SNUDEBILLERonline contributions of the respective year for long-term safekeeping.

The fundamental paradigm change in "content and form" of taxonomical papers must be accompanied in the digital era by the error-free and unchanged transfer of information - completely independent of the storage medium used. When a new storage media becomes available, the SNUDEBILLER CD editions that have been issued can then be quickly transferred.
Neither the question of the "acid content" of paper nor the "half-life" of a CD ROM are the main interest. The core issue is: How can it be ensured that data can be passed quickly, comfortably, confidently, error-free and cost-efficiently to the next generation of data media?
