Occupation as expert for Coleoptera and Heteroptera (since 1982).

Revising, adapting and publishing of "lists of endangered species" in Berlin and Germany (since 1989).

Founder of the Curculio-Institute (CURCI, 1999).

Editor of „SNUDEBILLER“, responsible for internal subjects and coordination of membership.

Current projects:

Continual work on the weevil fauna of the Berlin area,
updating of the "list of endangered Curculionoidea of Berlin".

Studies on taxonomy, biology and ecology of Palearctic Hyperini.

Faunistic expeditions to Southeastern Europe and Asia Minor.
